Equipment

  • Electric Mixer
  • Large mixing bowl
  • spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars

Instructions

  • Place 1 cup softened unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  • Gradually add 3 cups powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until fully incorporated.
  • Slowly pour in ¼ cup heavy cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, then increase speed to medium-high and beat for 2–3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  • Gently fold in ½ cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars using a spatula until evenly distributed.
  • Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or cookies, or store as needed.

Notes

Ensure butter is softened to room temperature for a smooth and fluffy texture. Sift powdered sugar to prevent lumps in the frosting. Crush Butterfinger candy finely if piping to avoid clogging tips. Add extra cream (1 tablespoon at a time) if frosting is too thick. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Bring to room temperature and rewhip before reuse.
