Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup butter sliced into pieces
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup milk preferably whole milk
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick-cooking oats or old-fashioned rolled oats

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and measure everything out. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Combine the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa powder in a saucepan and heat over medium, stirring often until melted. Bring to a rolling boil for 60 seconds.
  • Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter and vanilla until combined. Mix in oats until coated.
  • Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets. Allow to cool for 20 to 30 minutes and serve.

Notes

Cookies may be stored in an airtight container for up to one week. Freeze in a bag for up to 3 months. Thaw before serving.
