Ingredients
  

Nuts and Sugars

  • 1.5 cups pecans
  • 1.5 cups cashews
  • 1.5 cups almonds
  • cup packed brown sugar
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust for preferred spice level
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 teaspoons water

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, cayenne, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Whisk egg white and water until foamy.
  • Add nuts and toss to coat evenly.
  • Sprinkle spice mixture over nuts and mix well.
  • Spread in a single layer on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 9 minutes, stir, then bake another 8 to 9 minutes.
  • Cool completely before serving.

Notes

Adjust cayenne for preferred spice level. Allow nuts to cool fully for maximum crunch. Store in airtight container to maintain freshness.
