Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts 5-8 oz. each

Seasoning

  • Salt
  • Pepper

Batter

  • ¼ cup flour

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup chicken broth optional

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley / green onions chopped (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  • Whisk the honey, soy sauce and apple cider vinegar to make the sauce.
  • Pound the chicken breasts to ½″ thickness using a meat mallet.
  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper and dredge them in flour on both sides, shaking off any excess flour.
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter and sear the chicken on one side for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Flip the chicken and sear on the other side for another 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn the heat down to medium and melt the other tablespoon of butter. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the sauce and simmer until the sauce thickens and until the chicken is cooked with an internal temperature of 165ºF.
  • Add chicken broth to the sauce to make it saucier (optional).
  • Turn the chicken to coat the other side in the sauce before dishing and top with parsley or green onions (optional).
  • Enjoy!

Notes

- If you have large chicken breasts, you can cut 2 breasts in half lengthwise to get 4 chicken cutlets. - Make it saucier – Add ¼ cup of chicken broth to make it saucier. - Add some heat – Sprinkle a few dashes of red pepper flakes to give the chicken a little bit of heat. - Add some zest – Add some lime or lemon juice to brighten up the flavor.
